HELP FEED A FAMILY AFFECTED BY COVID-19
Dear friends and partners of IGO Church,
Many families are beginning to feel the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and soon they will not be able to feed their families. As you know, many people have been laid off from their jobs and in some cases, both parents in the family have lost the ability to provide for the home. We currently have an ever increasing list of persons/ families that are in this situation, in response,we have created the HELP A FAMILY AFFECTED BY COVID-19 PROGRAM.
How does it work?
This program is designed to provide a basic food basket to those that need it the most, as soon as possible. It will also help to minimize the risk of spreading the virus to more persons.
- You can make a cash donation using your credit card by going to www.igocanada.org or by sending an Interac money transfer to info@verbo.ca (PLEASE ENTER: COVID-19 IN THE MESSAGE BOX).
- Once we receive the donation, we will make an online purchase based on the size of the family at a local grocery store located near the recipient(s).
- Within days of purchase, the food basket will be delivered right to the doorstep of the family in need.
By using this process we are able to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19, as contact with volunteers, personal collecting, receiving, handling, and direct delivery of food to families would have been avoided.
